Today, on October 1, we celebrate three important holidays at once – the Day of Defenders of Ukraine, the Day of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Day of the Ukrainian Cossacks. These events are a symbol of our national unity, fortitude and invincibility of the Ukrainian people.
The Day of Defenders of Ukraine is a special occasion to honor all those who defend our state today, and those who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of the country. This day symbolizes the courage, bravery and sacrifice of everyone who stands guard over our peaceful future.
Within the framework of this day, the Center's management informational speech took place at the State Institution "UMCSM of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine". During our speech, we discussed the historical connection between the Cossacks and the modern defenders of Ukraine, which emphasizes the important role of military honor, patriotism and readiness to fight for their native land. Ukrainian Cossacks have long considered the Intercession to be their patron, and today this symbol of unity and military victory is preserved among our defenders.
At 9:00 a.m., we joined a nationwide minute of silence to honor the memory of the Heroes who gave their lives for our independence. Their feat will forever remain in the hearts of every Ukrainian.
May the memory of our defenders be eternal, and may their courage become an example for future generations. We thank everyone who defends our state today and bow our heads to those who gave their lives for a peaceful sky over Ukraine.
Glory to the defenders of Ukraine! Glory to the Ukrainian Cossacks! Glory to our indomitable nation!
