Established: 1947.
The Republican Medical and Physical Education Dispensary worked from 1947 to 1992.
In 1967, by the decision of the executive committee of the Kyiv City Council of People's Deputies, the Kyiv City Medical and Physical Education Dispensary was established.
In 1988, the Kyiv City Medical and Physical Education Dispensary was reorganized into the "Health" City Scientific and Practical Association, and the district medical and physical education dispensaries were reorganized into the "Health" district Centers.
By the order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine No. 117-O of 20.12.1991 "On the liquidation of the Republican Medical and Physical Education Dispensary" the functions of the Republican Medical and Physical Education Dispensary from 01.03.1992 were transferred to the Kyiv City Medical and Physical Education Dispensary.
Order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine No. 40-OS of 17.03.1992 "On Ensuring the Fulfillment of Republican Functions Assigned to the Kyiv City Medical and Physical Education Dispensary".
Joint Order No. 85/918 of 13.05.1992 of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and the Ministry of Ukraine for Youth and Sports "On the Establishment of the Kyiv State Center of Sports Medicine" (on the reorganization of the "Health" Kyiv Scientific and Practical Association into the Kyiv State Center of Sports Medicine).
On April 15, 1997, the Kyiv State Center of Sports Medicine was reorganized into the Ukrainian Center of Sports Medicine of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine in accordance with the Order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine of 14.02.1997 No. 48 "On the Reorganization of the Kyiv State Center of Sports Medicine and the Establishment of the Ukrainian Center of Sports Medicine".
In pursuance of the Order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine of 06.07.2012, No 115-0, the Ukrainian Center of Sports Medicine was renamed into the State Institution "Ukrainian Medical Center of Sports Medicine of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine".
In pursuance of the Order of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated 30.09.2020 No. 1201-r On the transfer of the integral property complex of the state institution, the State Institution "Ukrainian Medical Center of Sports Medicine of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine" was transferred to the management of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine.
